      Summary

Philip Morris International (PMI) maintains a high performance computing (HPC) infrastructure which enables research and development of new products that may have the potential to reduce the risks of smoking-related diseases. HPC is helping PMI to understand underlying disease mechanisms, perform biomarker discovery, bioinformatics, text mining, genome sequencing, computational fluid dynamics and molecular dynamics simulations. HPC at PMI has supported over 20 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and more than 80 presentations at international conferences.
