      Steve is Global Head Regulatory Insights. He holds a degree in Science in Economics from the University of Lausanne and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. In his current role, Steve leads the development and execution of PMI’s regulatory consumer research studies on smoke-free products. He was instrumental in the implementation of PMI’s Perception and Behavior Assessment program in the U.S. in support of PMI’s Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) Applications for the Tobacco Heating System (THS).

      He is also one of the architects of PMI’s post-market consumer research program internationally, and the program that is designed to address PMI’s post-market monitoring obligations under U.S. Food and Drug Administration's IQOS MRTP order.

      Steve is enthusiastic about sharing scientifically robust perception and behavioral data related to THS and other PMI smoke-free products with the wider science community and the public. He has published numerous articles in international scientific journals.

      Reduced Risk Products ("RRPs”) is the term we use to refer to products that present, are likely to present, or have the potential to present less risk of harm to smokers who switch to these products versus continuing smoking. PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. All of our RRPs are smoke-free products that deliver nicotine with far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
