      Christelle Haziza leads the Scientific and Medical Affairs team at Philip Morris International. The team is responsible of conducting research studies in given markets to enhance the scientific evidence of the appropriateness from a public health perspective of alternative products use versus cigarette smoking. She has a PhD in Biology, a diploma on human pharmacology, and a certification in Medical Affairs. ​

      With over 15 years of expertise in clinical research and harm reduction, she is responsible for PMI’s clinical assessment program to provide scientific evidence of the harm reduction potential of using smoke-free products versus smoking cigarettes. ​

      She has a holistic understanding of tobacco science, which covers multiple aspects: design, execution, data reporting and interpretation of complex clinical studies under Good Clinical Practice, basic research, translational research, and bioanalytical knowledge.​

      Christelle has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.​

PMI has a range of RRPs in various stages of development, scientific assessment and commercialization. All of our RRPs are smoke-free products that deliver nicotine with far lower quantities of harmful and potentially harmful constituents than found in cigarette smoke.
