Bin Li became Chief Product Officer at Philip Morris International (PMI) in August 2019. He is responsible for the development of PMI's innovative smoke-free product pipeline and related technology strategies, the continuous improvement of existing platforms, and the manufacturing of electronic devices.
Bin holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University, a master’s degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University, and an MBA from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program.
Bin began his career in 1996 as a software engineer for Brother International Corporation. He later worked in various engineering roles in the U.S. technology sector before returning to China in 2004 to join Philips Consumer Electronics as a manager. From 2006 to 2009, he served as CEO of Hongen Education. Before joining PMI, Bin spent nearly a decade at HARMAN International in Shenzhen, China, where he held roles as General Manager and Vice President, overseeing consumer product development and operations.
